One of the UAE's leading brand names, the Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group represents a diverse portfolio of global brands in electrical, logistics, travel, transportation and retail arena. In this dual role job, I overlook the creative and marketing aspects for brands across the group whilst also directly managing the marketing activities for Air Canada (Al Naboodah is the official representative of Air Canada in UAE).

 

Reporting to the CEO of Al Naboodah Travel and Group Marketing Head, responsible for managing marketing campaign and graphic designing along with digital marketing.

 

Responsibilities and accomplishments:

 

Budget Management:

  • Manage marketing budget for products & responsible to delineate expenditures based on              marketing plans

  • Manage & improve lead generation campaigns, measure results by effectively monitoring

 

Product Marketing:

  • Ensure adherence to corporate marketing and branding guidelines

  • Align the regional branding product messaging with corporate branding

  • Foster relationship with clients through customer engagement programs

  • Liaise with principals to implement the brand positioning strategy for the brand in the territory

  • Develop the marketing strategy to build customer preference & increase sales

 

Marketing Support & Events:

  • Provide support to conceptualize product launches, Airline promotion, motor shows, mall displays, customer engagement events, cross-promotional campaigns, roadshows etc.

  • Creation & publication of marketing material in line with marketing plans to generate brand            visibility

  • Liaise with the agency to design & conduct ROI specific campaigns, digital campaigns for profiling

  • Implement an annual marketing calendar with brand development as driving objectives

  • Implement seasonal campaigns consistent with campaign objectives, communication strategy &   media plan

Responsibilities and accomplishments:

Marketing Campaigns:

  • Launched more than 12 highly successful marketing campaigns including seasonal tactical promotions

  • Concept development with agencies including product shoots

  • Retouching of all product shoot images. All images used for in-store and social media tactical promotion were retouched by self from 2103 to 2015.

  • Recommendations for ATL and BTL media slots buying including key OOH such as Dubai Public Transport buses, Dubai Metro and hoardings across UAE

  • Adopting overall design and artwork for use on online media

  • Managing video cuts of the main campaign video for use on online platforms

  • Ensured a precisely timed rollout of campaigns in 150 stores across the Middle East and Africa including 43 stores.

  • Conducting marketing audits in selected stores across UAE

Fashion Shows & Events:

  • Managed several fashion shows with Splash through 2013 - 2015

  • Management of marketing tactical and in-store displays across 43 stories in UAE and 107 across the Middle East and Africa.

  • Managing a plethora of pre-show activities such as model scouting, security management, food tasting, branding displays and governmental approvals.

  • Supervising the product shoots during the Fashion Shows, images from the shoot were used for media and Splash catalogues.

  • Fashion shows generated a huge audience of over ranging from 4000 - 5000 per show this was mainly attributed to pre-show activations.

 

In-store & Sponsored Events:

  • Complete management of in-store activation with celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Salman Khan. Salman Khan’s visit in 2013 to Splash in Deira City Centre was a media frenzy in UAE.

  • Conceptualized and activated numerous in-store events. One of the most successful ones was DNM Styling in Mall of Emirates generating over 70K+ sales on the launch day.

  • Strategizing and managing brand activation in high profile sponsored events such as Madonna     World Tour, Alicia Keys Concert, Red-fest 2013/2014, Grazia Middle East Fashion Show and       Fashion Forward.

  • Managing the key relationship with all stakeholders ranging from suppliers to the board of directors of Landmark Group.

  • Acting as a brand guardian to ensure content across all channels is in compliance with Splash     guidelines

  • Providing recommendations for media spend based on overall campaign budget
